Frugal Friday Homemade Easter/Spring kid stamps

I'm a craftie ( Is that a word?) at heart. I love making things with my hands and love to do kid crafts with my son. One way to keep my son interested in crafts (He is almost 9)is to come up with messy and crazy craft ideas. Here is one frugal craft we enjoy!

Potato Stamp

large potato
kid safe knife
washable paint
some sort of paper
small Easter/Spring cookie cutters

Cut potato in half. Place cookie cutter of choice on inside of potato(white part). Cut potato around outside of cookie cutter so the cookie cutter design pops up. Ok you are ready to put paint on your design and start stamping! Check out http://lifeasmom.com/ make your own instant oatmeal idea!

Bag N' Save Deal 4/7-4/13

There was a $1/1 coupon in the 3/7 SS or you can head over HERE (back button to get 2 coupons)and get a .75/1 coupon when you register with Mission. You might want to print it soon b/c these coupons go fast. During the week 4/7-4/13 there is a Bag N' Save coupon B1G1F on the Spring Savings coupon magnet that was in the mail. You can use the 2-.75 coupons and the B1G1F Bag N' Save coupon to get a great deal! I find it hard to get a deal on tortillas and we use a ton around here. Just giving you a heads up!

Eskimo cookies

These cookies are so yummy and kid-friendly! My son made these for Christmas and they went fast!

Eskimo cookies

1 stick soft butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
2 TB cocoa
2 cups oatmeal


Mix all up in a bowl. Roll into balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place in fridge til' cool. All done. They kind of look like snowballs:) Check out others ideas at http://lifeasmom.com/.

FREE Organic cereal at Hy-Vee

I went to Hy-Vee today to get some more of the Hy-Vee deal I posted. While I was in the organic section I also seen Kashi Vive cereal marked down to $1.00. That is a great deal but, using $1/1 Kashi coupon made these FREE for ME! I refrained from grabbing them all at the price of FREE! I have never tried this flavor of cereal before but, we do love Kashi around here.
You can call your local Hy-Vee to make sure they also have this HOT deal. I am thinking this type of cereal might make some really great homemade granola bars:)
